酒質/Tasting Notes： 老藤卡本內紅酒Old Vine Cabernet Sauvignon是採用平均樹齡35年的Cabernet Sauvignon老樹果實釀造，來自自家的三處葡萄園。在法國橡木桶中陳年16個月；裝瓶前不經過濾和澄清處理，以保有其完整的風味。2006年份的這款酒混合了5%的Petit Verdot以增添其複製度。其顏色是深紫紅色；它呈現出極佳的濃郁度和持久度，有成熟黑色漿果、香料等複雜香味，中上的酒體加上紮實的單寧構成雄厚的結構，整體口感非常豐富，也有非常良好的陳年潛力。
At Kaesler we have 35Cabernet Vineyards; two on the original Kaesler farm,and one from Barrington’s, over the main road from Kaesler. The soil type on all the sites is red brown loam over clay and then over limestone rubble and is perfectly suited for Cabernet Sauvignon. The clay builds the fruit and strength into the wine, and limestone the finer tannins. Our 2005 Cabernet was matured in new and one & two year old French oak for 15 months. The wine was neither fined nor filtered. Colour: Ruby and dense garnet. Nose: Strong up-font blackberry and spice box with toasty characters. Old fashioned in style. Palate: Firm tannin, dark berries, intense with a long finish. Opulent palate with great structure. Notes Cabernet Sauvignon is seriously under rated in Barossa. Our 2005 Cabernet is one our best to date and should drink well over the next 10 years.
